Full day pass today as my wife was working and it coincided with a good forecast so I was set to take full advantage. Got down to Bigbury for 10am and the car park was already filling up. The wind was stronger on the carpark with the acceleration up the cliff but I opted for the 5.4 and the Tabou for some freestyle practise.

The wind was quite gusty coming over Bantham so it was a case of on and off the plane - a bit like lake sailing. Started out heading up wind and played safe with some snappy tacks. There were no waves opposite the river and the current was running very fast out to sea so I headed back down wind. Played around with some one handed 360s, push tacks, upwind 360s and the odd vulcan. Still feel out of practice for next weeks competition - I know it's only fun but I don't want to look too much of a tit.

A few names were out, probably down for the competition next week. Ben Proffit did a spectacular spin loop with his feet coming out of the straps half way round - ouch.

An excellent day down to the fact that there was wind and sunshine combining with me being free to go out sailing made it 4 stars.
